Reckless driving and violations by drivers have always been the top priority businesses with large-scale fleets to tackle. Systems & Technology Corp. (SYSTECH), the leader of fleet management in Taiwan, boasts its all-round solution featuring in-vehicle system dedicated for smart V2X in combination with connected vehicle camera and AI image recognition adopted by more than 100 rehab buses (Rehabus). The solution receives high ratings for its two main functions, such as preventive warnings covering violation detection and image keeping as well as records keeping.

SYSTECH's all-round solution featuring in-vehicle system dedicated for smart V2X in combination with connected vehicle camera and AI image recognition break through the simple image records by other providers and, in conjunction with data by National Police Agency, MoI in relation to dangerous and accident-prone areas, provides cabin image records, footage retrieval, and violation and dangerous sections detection, which may implement active audit and record keeping, unveiling all dangerous and rule-breaking driving behaviors.

SYSTECH's implementation of the “Smart Urban and Rural” project of the Administration for Digital Industries, MoDA indicates that as many as 80% of the drivers will adjust their driving style under the circumstances that the system automatically records the violation and images when a driver runs the red light, while another 65% of the drivers adjust accordingly as the system warns the passing of accident-prone areas. The survey showed that the number of drivers violating relevant regulations by running red lights dropped by at least 20% within six months following system introduction.

The all-around solutions powered by SYSTECH facilitate managers in rapid identification of drivers at high-risk. In addition, the safety of fleet driving is made safer with more than passive management following incidents. Proactive management encompassing warning to drivers before trip plus feedback to vehicle management personnel through records and statistics in relation to violation history can be made, allowing companies to tackle the issue and make remedies, furthermore strengthening the avoidance of danger so as to greatly improve the safety of passengers and driving.

At present, such integrated solutions have been fully introduced by application to more than 100 rehab buses in Yunlin and Changhua, with expanded adoption in other counties and cities expected. SYSTECH expects to replicate the successful experience in logistics or school bus fleet management and applications to further improve driving safety and business operation efficiency.
